The "Competitive Pandemic"
The "Competitive Pandemic" or "competitive virus" by some, is when a player and/or clan becomes "infected" into the ways of total extreme competitiveness of superiority while in the midst of a mostly military-based society.
The cause of this is mostly in forms of disliking a military-based clan, staying in a competitive-based clan for a long period of time or simply causing themselves to hate motives used by these groups, or even believing that others are inferior.
Characteristics
As this enters a players mind, the "virus" would usually very quickly manifest itself in the victims behavior. Symptoms are increasingly noticeable in time and possibly determined by the amount of emotions the player has in question. After the "virus" overwhelms its host, the player acts in indecent ways, sometimes violently. The "virus" can also pass through influence from that players new ability of aggression. It is noticed that some players carry hereditary immunity, allowing them to become "infected" with the "virus" without displaying any forms of symptoms. These players remain carriers of the "infection", which can transmit it with voice and influence.
Symptoms of "Infected Players"
The host is mostly solely focused on killing military-based clans/members. Since the "virus" causes those infected to act with no regard of self-preservation, they will most of the time; not act to evade mortal danger, such as spawn killing or keep defenses.
The "virus" causes the player to enter a primal state of murderous rage and also reduced to a state of aggression of hostility, driving themselves to attack anyone who stands in their path with no forms of their own player safety, health, and shields, and very limited morals.
Most of these "infected" are extremely endurance and super-human strength-like abilities, with KD's far outstretching others, but lacking common decency.

How to survive a "Community Apocalypse" for kicks and giggles
Pretend many clans have become "infected' by an alien-like disturbance, for example; total competitive clans that threaten to destroy the communities way of life. Here's your guide!
1. Fact: The "infected" love killing out-of-shape players..hint hint...Noobs.
Their easier to kill, and put up far less of a fight. Compare that with an average clan V100 member who gets a good amount of kills in matchmaking, and won't go down without a fight.
2. To stay in shape:
Exercise your DMR or pistol after a while, get better at shooting distances and other weapons, wouldn't want to get to close to the infected' for their love of assassinations.
3. Avoid assassinations: I am sure you say you do not care about assassinations, but deep down inside, most do. Avoid showing your back at the enemy, sprint and run when possible.
"Two DoD members were walking in hemorrhage, when suddenly, a vicious, infected member with evade comes at them. One of the DoD members has sprint while the other has armor-lock. The armor-lock guy says, "You idiot, you can't run faster than evade!" To which the other member replies, "I don't have to run faster than the "infected", I only have to run faster than you!"
If you think you have a better chance of surviving, then do so in no-choice situations, leave someone else as bait. EX: The armor lock guy. He will eventually run out of armor-lock and be killed. While you have sprinted further away to safety. Choose sprint.
4. Use the environment to your objective.
On most clan-based maps, there is various hide-outs and locations that are extremely safe or could be safe in case of attack. Or when you are hiding, find a place that would be hard for your pursuers to find you. EX: Behind a rock in a isolated area or somewhere not visible easily.
5. WORK AS A TEAM!
Most of the time, when someone travels alone in a dark area or a dangerous hazard zone, he will become dead.
If your part of a small clan or group of players, who have outlasted everyone else who has become influenced to infection, survival will be far more likely if you work as a team. Watch each others backs, take turns doing jobs, work together to solve problems.
At one point, after hope is almost surely lost, its seems clear that you may want to join the side of "infection" from forms of insanity or even leave the group or clan. Don't lose hope. Don't be influenced. The key to "infection".
6. Prepare your clan supply - Teach them to not follow the unrighteous path
Make sure to tell your members that to keep together reforms survival, and not giving up hope for each other. rise up against the "infected" if you have no choice and be prepared for dire situations. The enemy has the power to ever end your clan's moral.
7. If you are one of the few remaining members in for example, the UUF, it's your own responsibility to continue the clans continuity.
no pressure, but the fate of a clan now rests on your shoulders. Have something worth continuing the clan. Its always the guy who has nothing to live for who becomes "infected" or leaves.
Most importantly, remember that their is always hope. The community will resume; no matter how dire the situation is - after all, the future of the community may perhaps could be in your hands.
What I left out:
- Aim for the head.
- Conserve your ammo.
- Rocket launchers are your friend.
